After being in our new house for 3 months we would like to thank you for making our dream home possible. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the truly professional plans you recently designed for me. Apart from the fact they passed both developer and council certifier criteria on first application, I was impressed with the efficiency and turn around times of your service.

I’ve had plans designed by architects, building designers and draftsmen before and have never had such a smooth experience. Paul, I attribute this to your superior knowledge from years of practical building experience.

The practical ideas you incorporated enabled me to achieve and exceed my original vision cost effectively and without sacrificing the integrity of the design. In terms of the final building cost, this has resulted in approximately a 12% saving compared to the original design brief.

I also really appreciated your fairness with your time, it was obvious to me that you love what you do, right down to the detail of the presentation folder for the plans you provided.
Having come to the Sunshine Coast from NSW and not knowing anybody locally, I felt that you made the process very easy for me.

Not only did they understand the constraints faced by young people with disabilities they aligned themselves with the cause and worked overtime to assist Youngcare in completing professional documentation. We have known Paul for many years and my husband Tony, has worked as a contractor on past constructions. We both know Paul as a fastidious builder, who is honest and hard working. When we heard that he was expanding into building design, we both thought that this would be Paul’s niche, due to his superior work standards and building knowledge.

When we decided to build our new family home, we knew that Paul would be our designer of choice. Nothing was too much trouble, with the obligatory minor alterations to initial plans, to promptly arriving at the final design. The presentation, quality and quantity of the final material was far superior to any we have seen before. Due to Paul’s practical knowledge, he was able to design the house to match our intended exterior building materials, Hebel concrete panels, without any unnecessary cutting of the panels, therefore reducing any wastage of material and costs.

Although I can’t confirm this, I believe that due to the comprehensiveness of “onplan’s” diagrams that we submitted to council, we received an approval in days, not weeks or months, unlike a lot of other complaints of building approval times.

Obviously, we highly recommend Paul and his team at onplan, if you require a professional product.

We engaged Onplan on the recommendation of a neighbour who had previously used their services. In the course of the pre design process we spoke to a number of architects and designers but settled on Onplan due primarily due to Paul’s preparedness to listen to what we wanted and the practical advice/suggestions that clearly stemmed from his experience as a builder.

We found the design process alot more straight forward than we had envisaged. It was very much a collaborative effort and one which was completed in the timeframe we were provided at the start of the process. In addition we were very appreciative of Paul going out of his way to assist us in areas which fell outside the design brief.
